This was a total residential renovation. The single story camp of approximately 950 square feet was originally positioned with a perfect rear view on the banks of the Charles River in Dedham, MA.

The camp was developed by adding rooms to the original 18’x24’ single-room shed. The new design reused most of the original foundation and the existing Kitchen. Everything else was changed or is new. The private rooms of the bedrooms are located on the upper floors, with a gallery overlooking the Living Room. The first floor includes a Kitchen with breakfast bar, Dining Room and Home-office, as well as large deck over-looking the river and rear yard.

Our role in this project was as a consultant to a Boston architectural firm, which was overwhelmed with work and was willing to allow this challenging home renovation project to be designed, documented and supervised during construction by our office.
